This product range contains metals that are more active than steel, such as zinc to achieve cathodic protection, because the coating itself is easier to corrode than the steel substrate which becomes the cathode and the coating becomes the anode. Long-term corrosion resistance is achieved through prior consumption of the zinc power rather than the steel.
